Mission.
Currently, I am looking into various aspects of machine learning (ML) on time series. A time series would be, for example, the amount of energy generated by a solar panel measured each minute for the span of a week. Similar types of data arise in various applications, like finance, industrial manufacturing, healthcare, robotics, climate science, etc. Common questions I am trying to answer there include:
My research interests span other topics in machine learning as well, including tractable probabilistic models (TPMs) like normalizing flows and probabilistic circuits. I am also interested in graph neural networks (GNNs), eventually combining them with interactive learning and causal reasoning. I am guided by the quest to advance them both as fundamental building blocks of machine learning as well as their applicability to time series.
