I am an Applied Research Scientist at Adobe Firefly in San Jose, USA. My research focuses on large-scale generative models at the intersection of natural language and computer vision. I retain an adjunct affiliation with hessian.AI, where I lead the research on large-scale generative models.

Open Thesis/Hiwi. I can no longer offer supervision for theses or Hiwi positions. Please reach out to one of my colleagues instead.

Together with great colleagues and friends from DFKI, hessian.AI, CommonCrawl and others, I co-founded the Occiglot research collective in early 2024. As an academic, non-profit research collective, we are committed to open science and, thus, open-source LLM development. While the branding and naming of the collective are still in flux, we are actively working with researchers from partner institutions accros Germany and Europe on advancing open-source LLM research..
